Description

Small Ephemera Pocket Drawers

This DIY project lets you print out 3 different options to create your very own set of mini ephemera pocket drawers.  The drawers fold out and can hold all sorts of tiny ephemera.  Glue them to a page on your junk journal, and store all your unused treasures flat, ready to be pulled out and collaged in later.  There is a tiny label on each drawer so you can mark down what’s inside.

Just imagine…. you’ve made a junk journal for a dear friend who’s never journaled before.  You want them to experience all the little joys of journaling, so you’ve gathered some beautiful collage elements they can use themselves.  What better way to present them than in this neat little filing cabinet?  This project comes with a green and a blue minimalist/vintage style, and also a painted white shabby chic French style, so one of these should work with most themes.

A DIY Junk Journal Craft Project With A Video Tutorial

This free printable craft project is different from most of my other projects.  It comes with video instructions instead of written ones.  The video tutorial for this craft kit is here: https://youtu.be/caLESRHnmXI
You get all 3 color options in this kit:

PRINT SETTINGS

This project was made on A4 size paper, but you can use the “fit to page” or “fit to printable page area” option in your printer settings to fit this on any size paper, including US Letter.

You can craft along with this video tutorial, and when you’re done, you can leave a review (below) and upload the photos of your project for everyone to see.

There is a Christmas version of this project, here.

And a brand new Woodland themed variation here, designed to match the Woodland edition of Junk Journal Magazine:

I printed this out and made it for a challenge in a FB group " Junk Journaling for everyone". I really loved making this cabinet! Making it got me thinking of all kinds of possibilities for it. I printed it twice, cut out the handles of the second sheet hand embossed from the back to raise the detail, highlighted the raised areas and glued and attached with brads. After making some ephemera for Santa's filing cabinet I thought to add magnets for closures. ( Had I thought of it ahead of time I could have hidden the ones inside the drawers with the paper. I did cover the ones on the back. So fun! I have since purchased other cabinets on Pegasus to use.

Hi, because of these amazing pockets, I was inspired to re-invent them. Innovations are welcome I read, so that was perfect. I used a non-digital idea and the idea of four drawers, but this involved making them in a different (and easier - I am told) way. But it wouldn't have been without the initial idea via Pegasus Prints. So thanks so much. You can see the video: Hazy Crazy Artz on YouTube xx

Absolutely love this project! Such a cool idea and a different way to add pockets to a journal. I used the template but created a different front. Thank you for sharing Sarah ❤
